North American Snow Festival – February 4 – 7, 2016

The Cadillac North American Snow Festival (NASF) takes place during the first weekend of February every year. In fact it has been held in the picturesque Cadillac area for over 3 decades.

There are plenty of outdoor events like the snowmobile races, a polar dip, and an ice-fishing contest bringing you outside to take full advantage of our frozen lakes.

The festival hosts an abundance of indoor events as well, like the chili-cookoff, craft beer tasting, and Miss Cadillac NASF pageant are there for those that need a relief from the chilly weather!

We are sad to announce that the North American Snow Festival (NASF) will not be held this coming February as it has the past 35 years, HOWEVER, the good news is many of the individual events that have lived under the NASF umbrella for so many years are still planning to live on!
Please stay tuned to this page in coming weeks and months as we will be sharing information to keep you up to date on those individual events throughout the winter season.

More good news: this Facebook page will also continue on!
It will be used as a way to connect our fans with information about recreation on our local trail systems - a nod to the history from which this festival originally started (snowmobiling). So stay tuned for that as well 🙂

The following event details have been confirmed to date:
* Organizers of the annual Cadillac Area Silent Observer Chili Cook-off are rescheduling their competition for the same night as the Silent Observer hockey game at the Wexford Civic Center on Feb. 22nd, 2020. The format of this event will basically remain the same as it has in previous years.

* Pilgrims Village Fishing Shop will hold their annual fishing tournament on Saturday, February 1st, 2020. Contact them directly for details on registration.

* The Oasis Family Resource Center Polar Dip will also be scheduled as normal, on Feb. 1st. Anyone interested in learning more can call the Oasis office at (231) 775-7299.

* The Miss Cadillac NASF Pageant will continue, though it may renamed "Miss Cadillac" and resettled as a new event within another popular annual community festival moving forward.

More details will be shared as we learn them...
Thank you all for the support over the years, thousands of volunteer hours and lots of fun NASF memories - we sure had a good run! 💙❄️

So is this festival going to be renamed or rebranded?

Why was it canceled?

No one can claim we didn’t try.....
